Ace Cafe London 6th July. Miniacs Birthday Bash!

This trip to the Ace was made all the more enjoyable by it being a celebration of four birthdays! Ria and Jon were celebrating their joint birthday on Saturday and Nikki was celebrating her birthday for Friday. The fourth birthday boy unfortunately was not present and that was Andy, although we celebrated for him! The attendance was really good, as was the weather. The Newman's were out in full force, bringing along Nikki and Adam. Lindsay and Paul were there, along with Ria, Neil and James. Unfortunately we were all late and none of us managed to get in the car park!

James came in Nikki's Mini and took some very nice photos of it outside the Ace. These are not them!

All the Newmans except Mark made it this month, along with Nikki, James and Linz. Neil and Ria came along to show off the freshly painted Blue One, and brought Ria's friend Chris to feed him and show him some Minis. Unfortunately no-one remembered to bring a camera!

We had the best Miniacs attendance at the Ace this month than we have had in a very long time. Ryan and Karen came from Wales in the rally slag, Alex and Jo came from Eastbourne, Neil and Ria came from Sevenoaks in the blue one, bringing Darren with them. Mark, Matt and Tom came but were missing Jon, James came, but in his new Vauxhall Omega as he is neglecting both Minis.

Darren was a bit scared of the Mini mania, but coped surprisingly well and Ria was a little too excited about getting her tea in a mug as opposed to the usual polystyrene cup.

There was a good turnout of Minis, but Karen's flash wasn't strong enough to take pictures of them in the dark. Ryan chatted to the man with the roof rack and is going to contact Mini Mail and get one for himself. We tried to find the owner of a minivan that had a stuffed fox in the back to ask him "WHY?".

Only Neil, Ria and Lindsay made it to the Ace this month, due to most minis being in bits.
